Turkey's most successful political & cultural debate programme "Siyaset Meydani" (Political Arena) has completed 14 years in broadcasting, and started its 15th year with a special programme. On the 7th of February 2008, Daghan Baydur, the composer of the theme music was invited to conduct Orhan Salliel's Istanbul Symphonic Project Orchestra to play The Turkish Suite. This music has assumed the identity of the programme and Ali Kirca, the host and the most respected anchorman of Turkey has invited Daghan Baydur to share the story of the piece.

This work was commissioned by the management of Yapi Kredi Bank for their 50th Anniversary Celebrations in 1994. Burhan Karacam, then the General Manager, and Omer Kayalioglu, the Assistant General Manager created numerous musical projects and made significant contributions to the Turkish music scene. We would like to thank them and Ali Kirca for owning this music as much as us.

We also thank our composer Yongun Bara Keymen who contributed to the live performance with his digital sequencer which is an important element of the music in the symphonic arrangement.
