Sara Baydur was born on the 21st of November 1984 in London, England. From a very young age she was surrounded by music. From the age of 5 she began singing things like ‘I Feel Pretty’ (West Side Story) accompanied by piano. She began taking piano lessons in England which she carried on in Istanbul when her family moved to Turkey when she was 6.

Sara attended IICS (Istanbul International Community School) for 4 years before moving to a Turkish school in order to develop her Turkish. During her years at IICS Sara got a role in one of the Younge Indiana Jones Series that was shot in old Istanbul, she had a speaking part as a Turkish orphan. After 4.5 years at Yüzyıl Işıl Sara moved back to IICS and graduated from there in 2003.

Sara also formed her first band called ‘Electric Breadcrumbs’ that then matured into ‘ZEK’ with Amy and Emily Girst. They gave a number of performances at school with they’re own compositions. They had a great demand for an album but unfortunately due to artistic differences it didn’t happen.

After high school Sara went back to England for university. She began studying Applied Arts in London, but after two years came back to Turkey freezing her course due to an inspirational block. She has currently been working in Muzikotek for 2 years as Head of A&R.

While she has been back she has sung backing vocals on a number of songs, continues to sing and write for jingles, and has also been working on personal material.

She plans to go back to London at the end of this year in order to finish her education and get going with making music.
